Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 9, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the website, inquiries, proposals, reservations, and services provided under the name Catch to Table Japan (“CTTJ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, requesting a proposal, making a reservation, paying a deposit, or participating in our services, you agree to these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before making a reservation.
1. About Catch to Table Japan
Catch to Table Japan provides private sea-to-table experience coordination services in Japan. Our experiences may include, depending on the selected plan and availability:
- Private fishing charter coordination
- Communication with boat captains and local operators
- Restaurant and dining arrangement
- Transportation coordination
- English-language support
- Photography or video documentation
- Other related concierge-style support
CTTJ is not the direct operator of all components of the experience. Fishing boats, restaurants, transportation providers, interpreters, photographers, and other service providers may be independent third-party providers.
2. Nature of the Service
Our service is a private experience coordination service. The exact itinerary, schedule, fishing method, target fish, restaurant, dining content, transportation route, and other details may vary depending on weather, sea conditions, seasonal availability, guest preferences, partner availability, safety considerations, and operational circumstances.
Information on our website, proposals, images, videos, and other materials is provided for general reference. It does not guarantee that the exact same fish, dish, view, weather, vessel, restaurant seat, route, or experience will be available.
3. Inquiries and Proposals
After receiving your inquiry, we may prepare a proposal based on your requested date, number of guests, preferences, budget, and other relevant information.
A proposal does not constitute a confirmed reservation unless we expressly confirm the reservation in writing and, where applicable, receive the required deposit or payment.
Prices, availability, restaurants, vessels, transportation, and itinerary details are subject to change until the reservation is confirmed.
4. Reservation Confirmation
A reservation is confirmed only when all of the following conditions are met:
- We have confirmed availability in writing.
- You have agreed to the proposed itinerary, price, and conditions.
- We have received the required deposit or payment, if applicable.
- We have issued a written confirmation by email or other agreed communication method.
Until confirmation is completed, we are not obligated to hold any vessel, restaurant, guide, transportation, or other service provider.
5. Payment
Payment terms will be stated in the proposal or invoice.
Depending on the plan, we may require:
- A deposit at the time of booking
- Full prepayment before the experience date
- Remaining balance payment before or on the experience date
- Separate payment for optional items, upgrades, or additional costs
All bank fees, foreign exchange fees, card fees, or payment service charges may be the responsibility of the guest unless otherwise stated.
6. Prices and Included Items
The items included in the price will be described in the proposal or confirmation document.
Depending on the plan, the price may include some or all of the following:
- Fishing charter fee
- Coordination fee
- Language support
- Restaurant arrangement
- Dining course
- Transportation
- Photography or video sharing
- Basic refreshments
- Other items expressly stated in the proposal
Items not expressly stated as included are not included.
7. Excluded Items
Unless expressly stated in the proposal, the following items are not included:
- International or domestic flights
- Accommodation
- Personal travel insurance
- Additional food or drinks
- Premium beverages
- Additional restaurant orders
- Personal shopping
- Medical expenses
- Tips or gratuities
- Taxi or transport costs outside the agreed itinerary
- Costs caused by guest delay, itinerary change, or special requests
- Any other items not expressly included in the proposal
8. Changes to the Itinerary
We may change the itinerary, schedule, fishing location, fishing method, restaurant, transportation arrangement, or other components when necessary due to:
- Weather
- Sea conditions
- Safety concerns
- Captain’s judgment
- Restaurant availability
- Traffic
- Mechanical issues
- Regulatory requirements
- Guest health or safety
- Force majeure events
- Other operational reasons
We will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative, but we do not guarantee that the alternative will be identical in value, content, or style.
9. Fishing Results Are Not Guaranteed
Fishing is a natural outdoor activity. Catch results depend on weather, sea conditions, season, fish movement, water temperature, fishing pressure, and other factors outside our control.
We do not guarantee:
- That any fish will be caught
- That a specific species will be caught
- That a specific size or quantity of fish will be caught
- That the fish caught can be served at the restaurant
- That the dining course will include the caught fish in a specific form
No refund, discount, or compensation will be provided solely because of poor fishing results or no catch.
10. Dining and Restaurant Arrangements
Restaurant arrangements are subject to availability, restaurant rules, chef discretion, seasonal ingredients, food safety considerations, and operational circumstances.
The dining content may vary depending on:
- Restaurant availability
- Seasonal ingredients
- Food safety rules
- The condition and type of fish caught
- Chef’s judgment
- Dietary restrictions
- Religious or allergy considerations
- Supply conditions
If the caught fish cannot be served due to food safety, restaurant policy, fish condition, legal restrictions, timing, or other reasons, the restaurant may provide an alternative dining course.
Unless expressly stated, restaurant seating is not guaranteed to be private. “Private” refers to the overall private arrangement of the experience, not necessarily exclusive use of a restaurant or dining room.
11. Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
Guests must inform us in advance of any allergies, dietary restrictions, religious food restrictions, medical conditions, or other relevant concerns.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate such information to restaurants and service partners, but we cannot guarantee complete prevention of cross-contamination or full accommodation of all dietary restrictions.
Guests with severe allergies or medical conditions are responsible for assessing their own risk and carrying necessary medication.
12. Health, Safety, and Fitness to Participate
Guests are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit to participate in marine, outdoor, fishing, transportation, and dining activities.
Guests should inform us in advance if they have any condition that may affect participation, including but not limited to:
- Pregnancy
- Severe motion sickness
- Heart disease
- Respiratory disease
- Mobility limitations
- Serious allergies
- Recent surgery or injury
- Any condition requiring special assistance
We or our service partners may refuse participation if we reasonably believe that participation may create safety risks for the guest, other guests, crew, staff, or service providers.
13. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
- Follow instructions from captains, crew, guides, restaurant staff, drivers, and other service providers
- Wear a life jacket when instructed
- Arrive on time
- Use appropriate clothing and footwear
- Avoid unsafe behavior
- Refrain from excessive alcohol consumption before or during marine activities
- Respect local rules, customs, wildlife, marine resources, and service providers
- Provide accurate information
- Take responsibility for personal belongings
We may terminate or modify the experience without refund if a guest engages in dangerous, abusive, illegal, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior.
14. Alcohol
Alcohol may be available at restaurants or during certain parts of the experience, depending on the plan and legal requirements.
For safety reasons, alcohol consumption before or during fishing and boat activities may be restricted. Guests must comply with the instructions of captains, guides, and service providers.
We are not responsible for injury, loss, delay, or other damage caused by alcohol consumption.
15. Children and Minors
Children or minors may participate only when approved in advance and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The parent or guardian is responsible for the child’s behavior, safety, supervision, and compliance with instructions.
Some activities, vessels, restaurants, or plans may not be suitable for children.
16. Cancellation by Guest
A 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation. The remaining balance is payable on the date of the experience.
Unless your proposal or confirmation document states otherwise, cancellation by the guest is handled as follows:
- 15 days or more before the experience date: full refund
- 7 to 14 days before the experience date: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before the experience date: non-refundable
Where a proposal or confirmation document states different terms, those terms apply. Cancellation due to unsafe weather or sea conditions is handled under section 17 and not under this section.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, cancellation fees may apply based on the timing of cancellation, third-party provider rules, preparation costs, restaurant cancellation policies, charter fees, and other non-recoverable costs.
Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the arrangement and timing.
17. Cancellation or Change Due to Weather or Sea Conditions
Marine activities are subject to weather and sea conditions. The final decision regarding fishing departure, route, safety, and cancellation may be made by the captain, vessel operator, or relevant service provider.
If fishing is cancelled due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, we may offer, depending on the plan and availability:
- Rescheduling
- A modified itinerary
- A dining-focused experience
- A market, culinary, cultural, or craft-related alternative
- Partial refund, if stated in the proposal
- Other reasonable alternatives
Unless your proposal or confirmation document states otherwise, if the fishing portion is cancelled due to unsafe sea conditions, the 50% deposit is applied toward the dining portion and an alternative visit, such as a fish market or a Japanese knife workshop, subject to availability. The remaining 50% balance is not charged. Alternative arrangements depend on facility opening hours, restaurant availability, weather, and logistics.
18. No-Show and Late Arrival
If a guest does not appear at the agreed meeting time and location, it may be treated as a no-show.
If a guest is late, the itinerary may be shortened, changed, or cancelled. Additional costs caused by delay may be charged to the guest.
No refund is guaranteed for no-shows, late arrivals, missed departures, or itinerary reductions caused by guest delay.
19. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Severe weather
- Earthquakes
- Tsunami
- Fire
- Flood
- Epidemic or pandemic
- Government restrictions
- War
- Terrorism
- Civil unrest
- Strikes
- Transportation disruption
- Vessel mechanical issues
- Restaurant closure
- Accidents involving third-party providers
- Other events beyond our control
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to propose alternatives where practicable.
20. Third-Party Providers
Some parts of the experience are provided by independent third-party providers, such as boat operators, restaurants, transportation providers, guides, interpreters, photographers, payment processors, and other partners.
We carefully select and coordinate with service providers, but we do not own, operate, or control all third-party facilities, vessels, vehicles, restaurants, equipment, or staff.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for acts, omissions, negligence, delays, cancellations, accidents, food service decisions, operational changes, or other issues caused by third-party providers.
21. Photos and Videos
We may take photos or videos during the experience for guest memories, service documentation, quality improvement, and marketing purposes.
We will not intentionally publish identifiable images of guests for marketing purposes without obtaining consent, unless the guest has separately agreed.
Guests may request that we avoid photographing them or avoid using their images publicly.
Photos and videos provided to guests are for personal use unless otherwise agreed. Commercial use, resale, or unauthorized publication may require separate permission.
22. Intellectual Property
All website content, text, images, videos, logos, designs, proposals, documents, and other materials created by or for CTTJ are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or use our materials for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
23. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, or up to date.
We may change website content, prices, plans, images, service descriptions, and availability at any time without prior notice.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic damages, including loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, emotional distress, travel disruption, or additional travel costs.
Our total liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount actually paid to us for the relevant service. This limitation shall not apply in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where the limitation is otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
25. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CTTJ, its operators, representatives, staff, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your inaccurate information
- Your unsafe or inappropriate behavior
- Your violation of laws or third-party rights
